TUTORIAL ATTENDANCE: APRIL 2009

REMINDER:

-Attendance of tutorials is compulsory, and students are expected to be adequately prepared to cover the material set each week by completing the prescribed work for a particular tutorial. There is a DP requirement of 75% attendance of the tutorials, and this will be enforced.
-Tutors are forced to mark a person absent from a tutorial if they arrive without having prepared the work to be covered.
-Students who miss a tutorial are expected to present a valid medical certificate to the tutorial co-ordinator (Sumaya Laher, U306B, 011 717-4532, 0832257328) within 3 days of returning to campus, and if possible, to attend a supplementary tutorial within the same week as the one they have missed.
-It may be that you have attended tuts but for some reason did not get marked on the main register. If this is so, please e-mail Sumaya (sumaya.laher@wits.ac.za) and provide the day of your tut (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc) as well as your venue (OS 5, OS 6, etc) and your attendance will be double checked with the tutor!
